Model G guitar

The Model G is based on my guitar bouzouki and tenor guitar body shape – but the soundboard is made with an arched “SS” or “standard soundboard” design – the top is arched, to resist the pull of the strings, strengthened further with an X brace. It can also be made as a G-HO or a G-SKadv.

The guitar features a 16 fret to the body neck joint – great if you like to capo high. The cutaway is an optional extra.

European spruce or Western red cedar soundboard, the guitar featured has bubinga back and sides, but you can have maple, rosewood, smoked larch, wenge, sapele…there are many choices. The neck is mahogany or maple, and the fretboard is ebony.

I’ve tried all sorts of fancy “handmade” tuners over the years and have and to be honest, once you ignore all the bling and just look at the performance you’re left with Gotoh 510 tuners. They are the best I’ve tried and I’ve tried ’em all.

The nut and saddle are both bone.
