Model D guitar

Each guitar is named after the body shape (Model C, Model S, Model D) and then the type of soundboard used to create each guitars unique individual voice – SS, HO, SK or SK adv. So a Model D with a Sobell style soundboard would be a D-SS, a Model D with a Martin (flat) inspired soundboard is a D-SKadv.

The Model D is a similar size to my Model S guitar but with the wide waist that gives it a wonderful warmth.

This fine handmade D sized guitar really suits fingerstyle playing, and loves dropped tunings, as do all my acoustic guitars.

Aged Indian rosewood back and sides, European spruce soundboard, mahogany neck, Sri Lanka ebony fretboard and ebonised fruitwood bridge. The model featured has a pomelle bubinga body.

Gold Gotoh 510’s, Schertlers or open gear Hipshot tuners.
